Description

Students taking this module will undertake a research project for an external organisation, the scope of which will be negotiated between the organisation and a supervising member of staff in Sociological Studies. This work may also be used as the basis of the student's undergraduate dissertation work, in which case a clear demarcation between the project's remit and the aims and objectives of the dissertation will also be negotiated. The module will entail students working for the external organisation for a minimum of 70 hours, preferably organised as one day per week for 10 weeks, and producing a 3,000 word research report on their activities.
